The issuance of paper tickets for air travel is being phased out and e-tickets will become the standard ticket format issued by Gulf Air and its travel agents across the network.

What is e-ticketing?
An e-ticket is an "Electronic Ticket", which means that you are no longer issued with a conventional paper ticket. All your booking and ticketing details (records) are held in the airline's central reservation system.

What are the benefits for the passenger?

  1. You cannot lose the e-ticket - the booking always remains in the reservation system and can be accessed at any time, therefore, there is no hassle with police reports for missing documents
  2. Much safer
  3. More convenient
  4. You do not have to go to a ticketing office to collect your ticket as you can make reservations online or through the Call Centre, and then be sent an email with the e-ticket Receipt.
